Lets have a chat…

Hey everyone, today’s post is going to be slightly different from normal because I wanted to take the opportunity to sit down and have an honest chat with you all. So get comfy, grab yourself a nice hot drink and lets get into the post!

The support I have received from the blogging community has been absolutely incredible! When I first started back in September I never could’ve imagined the welcome that I got was possible! You have all helped me to discover that blogging is my passion and it is the thing I want to do with the rest of my career. I want to bring the world to the people who can’t travel themselves, inspire people and help fellow bloggers of the future as much as you all have helped me.

It isn’t a case of just wanting to make this my full time career anymore, I’ve told myself I’m going to take the leap and I’m just going to do it. After all, if you don’t take the jump and have enough courage and faith then you can never expect to fly. I’m just here to share this with you to tell you that you can absolutely do anything you want to do. It’s your life and nobody else’s so you do you!

I believe that it’s just a case of us all continuing to support each other however we can, but I’m not going to sit here and say that hard work doesn’t come into it, because it does, it is the key to all success, no matter how big or small. But with dedication anything is possible, make sure you seek after the sunset, because if you miss it all you have to do is wait for the sunrise.

Don’t let anyone tell you you can’t reach your goals, don’t let people say they’re too ambitious or impossible to reach, because nothing is impossible in this world. Even if you set aside 20 minutes a day to making it come a reality, those minutes will turn into hours and hours into days, and when you look at it like that there is no such thing as too little time. Believe me when I say you can do it. We can all do it. There are so many myths surrounding blogging and online influencers that suggest there isn’t room for all of us and that the market is crowded. To an extent this is true, the market is a crowded one, however there IS room for all of us, because we are all unique and so special. Every travel blogger is different, every blogger is different, just like no two people are exactly the same.

I just want to take a moment to talk directly to you, you the one reading this right now, and say good luck. I also want to tell you to never ever give up on your dreams no matter how hard they might be, you have to fight for them to be able to achieve your destiny. Let me know your goals in the comments, let me know what you’ve achieved and what you are going to achieve in the future. Notice I’ve said what you are going to achieve rather than what you want to achieve, because like I said earlier it’s a case of when not if.

To end this little chat I’d like to tell you what I plan to do, so you can follow my journey with me if you choose to do so. So here we go a summary of what I hope to achieve:

  • Write a number of E-Books, some dedicated to travel experiences and others dedicated to helping other bloggers and motivating you all to keep going. My little way of giving back to this amazing community.
  • I’d like to create some online courses to help bloggers fight for success in a structured and guided way. I’d also like to work with bloggers too when I become more experience to help people in my current situation.
  • I’d like to travel the world. I’d love to work with hotels and airlines and excursion providers to inspire a new generation of travellers.
  • I want to be able to make my blog my full time career and be able to travel as my job. It’s all I’ve ever wanted in life and is my biggest aspiration!
  • The final thing I’m going to include on this list is that I want to design and research itineraries. I’d love to create them for people who want to travel but don’t have the time to plan the trip of a lifetime! If you’re interested and want to find out more why not drop me an email? Definitely going to follow this one. This post gives me faith that it’s possible to have a successful blog. Not looking to make it a career but I am hoping to make it a regular part of mine and my wife’s life and hopefully help people along the way. Excited to see how you grow this year!

This is great. I had a job interview about 18 months ago and I mentioned that I had a blog and I said I was hoping to make something more of it, The lady interviewing me told me I would never make any money from blogging. I didn’t take that job and continued to work hard and I now am self employed and do make money from my blog.

I’m so happy you’ve decided to take the leap and go for this as a full time thing! I just quit my 9-5 a few months ago and it’s truly exhilarating! Equal parts terrified and living my dream life haha.

Love this post and your aspirational goals, I’m sure with your positive attitude you will definitely make it! My current goal is to grow my mailing list and increase my followers. You’ve just made me realise though that I probably need a clearer plan of what I’m going to do with them once I have them! 🙂

When you wrote, “I want to bring the world to the people who can’t travel themselves, inspire people and help fellow bloggers of the future as much as you all have helped me.” I could really relate to those words, I think helping others is one commonality that many bloggers share. All the best in your endeavors.

Yes even if they are too many of bloggers, well they are too many of readers too, you should not be bothered by the competition, you should just do your best to stand out.

I love what you are doing its so inspirational. I lost my full-time job six months ago and was a bit down and just focused on job hunting and finding a new job. Then I realized that I loved my blog and social media and I had put it a side because the bills don’t pay themselves. I haven’t been lucky in finding a new job, so I just started doing what I love again witch is blogging, writing and doing social media and the rest will follow. I love your positivity and the urge to do what you love in life and that brings happiness. That’s what I am going to do. Thank you!! For shedding some light.
